Stoke interested in Innocent Emeghara, score 7 in 12 games, that sounds very familiar.

Jenk

1.) In January in think a quality centre half and a proven striker required for mid table safety.
a good cup run and MH can then build on good first season.
make brittania a fortress again nick a few away points.
Then look to replace crouch, jones, jerome and walters as better quality required

2.) Emeghara would be relatively cheap, I assume and not quite sure about the quality centre half Muniesa looks like good cover, if we could pick up somebody like Abdoulaye Ba or even Efe Ambrose that would be ideal, but for all we know Arnautovic could end up scoring 15+ this season, just got to wait and see.

Nelson Oliviera from Benfica signed on loan today at the Britcould be a loan-to-buy deal but I'm not too sure.

Jenk

1.) Who is this guy? is he going to score the goals that we need? We need to make things happen. The season starts in three weeks and we have signed two defenders. The squad is smaller than last year so it must be weaker. We cannot wait for others to move and then bring in players at the last minute

2.) No buy option

3.) Class player. Quick and skilful. Squad might be smaller but with every player playing in their proper positions and being allowed to attack things should be a lot better.

4.) I heard Manchester United were prepared to pay £20m for him last year, so he must be worth something.

5.) Stokecity will sign marco sau

6.) Sadly the french media say that he will sign for staide rennes after stoke stalled

7.) We have put in a loan request for taarabt but qpr want us to sign him. Bad idea to sign him because 1) he's not a good team player 2) he doesn't have a great attitude and tries only when he feels like it and 3) he would rather be at Marseilles.

8.) Oliveira most probably join to Rennes. Hopefully we can get Diouf and that Sau guy. Scott Sinclair would be good too.

9.) Yup looks like Oliveira isn't happening now, sadly. But even worse is that we have no chance of getting diouf either. Things are looking bad for us we haven't signed any strikers or wingers. Should of just splashed the cash on bony. I'm very jealous and envious of swansea right now.

10.) Nevermind, there's 100's of young & talented footballers available. slowly slowly catchy monkey!

11.) Keep the faith! the u20 world cup finished a few days ago & the u19 european championship has recently started. there's bound to be potential here that we'll be taking a look at :) then hopefully we'll splash a bit of cash & Stoke can move on to the next level UTMP

12.) Slowy slowy miss all targets and end up with what others don't want.

13.) There are plenty of good players out there, I agree. But we are going to be gambling more than other teams because we will get players with less proof of their abilities. At this point I would honestly not be surprised if Hughs decides to keep the strikers we have

Stoke to re-kindle interest in Abdul Majeed Waris due to him not really setting in at Spartak Moscow.

Hughes to sign Sergey Krivets on a bosman?

Jenk

1.) Strange rumour?!. I think he signed for BATE Borisov 6 days ago. where did you read this?

2.) Just re-signed for hi old club BATE Borisov

3.) Oh is that right? It's a late post heard about it 'bout a fortnight ago just some amateur pundits throwing his name about probably.

Stoke miss out on Victor Wanyama and Wilfried Bony who moved to Southampton and Swansea respectively,
so Mark Hughes turns his attention to Jermaine Defoe and could possibly send a bid Aston Villas way for Stephen Ireland.

Jenk

1.) I'd prefer Sergi and Imanol anytime.

2.) I'd prefer Sergi over Ireland but Defoe over Agirettxe, Jermaine is a proven goal grabber and carried Spurs through the first part of the season! Could do it for us too!

3.) Mark Hughes has said he will allow crouch 2 leave 2 qpr as long as he can find a replacement so I doubt Defoe will join stoke

4.) At least Imanol can develop over time. I'm worried that Defoe might just be another Crouch once he moves.

5.) Stoke missing out on all the best targets, cruz, bony, wanyama, cornelius, who's left, Defoe come on 30 year old for 6 million not a good buy, stoke can't attract the players we need, stoke looking favourites for the drop.

6.) What are you talking about, call yourself a fan. Cruz - old and slow, Wanyama, Cornelius and Bony - expensive and unproven. We have made 2 great signings so far, this new regime will be fabulous. Have faith.

7.) But we need strikers! Pieters and Muniesa are great but we need a 15-ish goalscorer. I heard that Charlie Austin's value dropped after he had a failed move to Hull City. So at least maybe we can cash in on him?

8.) Favourites for the drop are you stupid! scott sinclair? jermaine defo? I for one trust mark hughes will do a good job and get us playing some decent football!

9.) People keep on about Charlie Austin because he has had a good couple of seasons in the lower league's. Martin Paterson never made it at Stoke and neither did Adam Rooney but they made a decent fist of it in the lower leagues. I agree we need a goalscorer but we need some one who has a proven record playing at a higher level. The fact that the club have supposedly contacted about 10 football agents with this in mind proves that they know what they want but it is difficult to find at a sensible price

10.) With Stoke creating more chances this coming season and playing more expansive football i'm not sure that we are desperate for a striker. We have international strikers at the club who I am sure would thrive on more chances.

11.) I think James Alabi could be one to watch he will be givein a chance and he looks like he could score 10 as a sub

12.) Bony un proven I don't think so - we will see.

13.) I wouldn't mind if we gave jerome a chance. some nice passes and maybe he could score

14.) Defoe is an utter steal for £6m if we get him for that so be it, but I don't see Crouchy as much of an neccesity for Defoe as you all say, I mean come on he does just as good Crouch or no Crouch!

15.) It would be good to see a proven goal scorer at the Britannia! As someone mentioned earlier, wanyama, cornelius, bony etc are unproven so they could turn out to be flops but with a new style of play on the cards for Stoke it will be like watching a totally new side even with the players we already have, you need to remember Stoke already had a decent squad and it was TP who moulded his style into every player but that will now change and it's about time we saw them play the football everyone's craving & everyone playing in there correct positions! Bye bye long ball

16.) The long ball aspect will still slightly remain but we need the physical side to stay yeah all the mids, fullbacks and strikers can play fancy football but don't let the centre-backs play flimsy defending!

17.) Yes, Bony is unproven. Can you remember him playing in the EPL before. No, neither can I, hence UNPROVEN.

I believe Marc Albrighton and Johnny Heitinga are out of contract in the summer, are any of them worth a punt?

Stoke desperately needing a man to finish all the chances created, both Adrian Ramos and Mame Biram Diouf are possibilities, could also see Ireland and Assaidi making permanent moves!

Sone Aluko a possibility in January!

Chelsea slap £3m price tag on Demba Ba, could see Hughes going for this one!

Jenk

1.) Good price that is

11 Aug 2013 16:21:24
Hannover saying they want £17m for Mame Biram Diouf, so I think Mark Hughes should sign Diouf on a pre-contract agreement because Diouf has no interest in renewing his contract at Hannover which means once again we will have another quality player for free, opening up funds to bring in a striker this season!

I can't see Stoke releasing Dionatan,he's only 23 and with a few loan moves he could realise whatever potential Stoke saw in him.

He has a 4. 5 year contract with us, so we're his parent club.

It's always quiet until deadline day, thought Hughes would've mixed things up a bit.

Actually my friend, there may be some truth in the Spanish rumour, Mark Hughes has watched Mevlut Erdinc and claims he has 'better options' and I can assure you he has been looking at two young spanish forwards, Juanmi Jimenez and Paco Alcacer and also a young cameroon forward Fabrice Olinga, , I can see atleast 2-3 more players coming in this window and a few shockers in January!
